New South Wales
Other organic-solvent process waste
New South Wales G160: the manufacture, preparation or use of organic solvents must be the source.
Is NSW G160 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. G160 marks waste that may need tracking. Part 4 requires a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That is a tracking test, not the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where Part 4 tracking applies, enter G160 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's applicable Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW G160 cover?
Process waste from making, formulating or using organic solvents, when no more specific solvent entry fits. It is for solvent process residues, not every discarded solvent.
