G150, Halogenated organic solvents.
New South Wales
Halogenated organic solvents
NSW G150: within NSW or interstate; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.
Is NSW G150 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. G150 marks waste that may need tracking. Part 4 requires a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That is a tracking test, not the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where Part 4 tracking applies, enter G150 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's applicable Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW G150 cover?
Halogenated organic solvents. Non-halogenated solvents go under G110. Western Australia marks G150 as the halogenated solvent entry for material not otherwise specified.

Is halogenated solvent waste NSW G150?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| G150 | The waste is an organic solvent containing a halogenated compound. |
| G110 | The organic solvent is not halogenated. |
Match both the waste description and the movement scope. The same code used elsewhere doesn't carry NSW's classification or tracking conditions.
Which wastes take NSW G150?
| Waste | When it’s G150 |
|---|---|
| Spent solvents | The spent solvent is halogenated. |
| Halogenated solvents | The spent solvent is halogenated. |

| E100 | Peroxide waste excluding hydrogen peroxide |
| F100 | Paint, ink and dye waste |
| F110 | Resin, latex and adhesive waste |
| G100 | Ethers (oxygen-linked organic compounds) |
| G160 | Other organic-solvent process waste |
| H100 | Biocide and crop-treatment chemical waste |
