Fly ash
New South Wales N150: fly ash from Australian coal-fired power stations is outside this entry.
Is NSW N150 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. N150 marks a waste that may need tracking. Tracking under Part 4 needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter N150 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW N150 cover?
Fly ash, except ash from Australian coal-fired power stations. It means ash carried in combustion gases, not all ash left after burning.
