Filter cake with listed-substance residue
New South Wales N190: the filtered solids carry residue from a substance covered by the NSW Part.
Is NSW N190 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. N190 marks a waste that may need tracking. Tracking under Part 4 needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter N190 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW N190 cover?
Filter cake with residue from a substance on this list. Filtered solids alone don't qualify. The residue must come from a listed NSW substance.
