Ethers (oxygen-linked organic compounds)
Queensland G100: in an ether, one oxygen atom joins two carbon-bearing groups.
Is Queensland G100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. G100 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. A load is tracked while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route first, as they decide whether a movement is trackable. G100 has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter G100 in the waste-code field of the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator fills in Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it online, by bulk upload or on numbered paper, whichever route is approved. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland G100 cover?
Ether waste takes G100 in the lists that use the narrower G100 description. Being an ether sets it apart from non-halogenated solvents under G110 and halogenated solvents under G150.

Is ether waste Queensland G100?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| G100 | The waste is an ether. |
Where several descriptions fit, an asterisk in Queensland's tracking list decides which takes precedence. It is not an EWC hazardous-waste marker. A resource must meet its end-of-waste code or approval conditions before it leaves the waste regime.
