G150, Halogenated organic solvents.

  • Queensland

    Halogenated organic solvents

Queensland G150 has no marked precedence when several descriptions fit.

Organic solvents that contain chlorine, fluorine or another halogen. Solvents without halogens are in the next entry.

Is Queensland G150 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. G150 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. A load is tracked while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route first, as they decide whether a movement is trackable. G150 has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.

For a tracked load, enter G150 in the waste-code field of the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator fills in Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it online, by bulk upload or on numbered paper, whichever route is approved. The Queensland exclusions still apply.

What does Queensland G150 cover?

Halogenated organic solvents take G150, and non-halogenated solvents go under G110. Western Australia marks G150 as the halogenated-solvent entry for material not otherwise specified.

Is a halogenated solvent Queensland G150 or G110?

CodeWhen it fits
G150The waste is an organic solvent holding a halogenated compound.
G110The organic solvent is not halogenated.

Where several descriptions fit, an asterisk in Queensland's tracking list decides which takes precedence. It is not an EWC hazardous-waste marker. A resource must meet its end-of-waste code or approval conditions before it leaves the waste regime.

Which wastes take Queensland G150?

WasteWhen it’s G150
Spent solventsThe spent solvent is halogenated.
Halogenated solventsThe spent solvent is halogenated.
