Other organic-solvent process waste
Queensland G160: the manufacture, preparation or use of organic solvents must be the source.
Is Queensland G160 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. G160 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. A load is tracked while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route first, as they decide whether a movement is trackable. G160 has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter G160 in the waste-code field of the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator fills in Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it online, by bulk upload or on numbered paper, whichever route is approved. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland G160 cover?
Waste from making, formulating or using organic solvents falls here when no more specific solvent entry fits. It is for residues of the solvent activity, not every discarded solvent.

| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| G160 | The waste came from making, formulating or using organic solvents and no more specific entry fits. |
Where several descriptions fit, an asterisk in Queensland's tracking list decides which takes precedence. It is not an EWC hazardous-waste marker. A resource must meet its end-of-waste code or approval conditions before it leaves the waste regime.
