Wood-preservative chemical waste
Queensland H170: the waste must arise from making, preparing or using chemicals that preserve wood.
Is Queensland H170 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. H170 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. A load is tracked while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route first, as they decide whether a movement is trackable. H170 has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter H170 in the waste-code field of the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator fills in Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it online, by bulk upload or on numbered paper, whichever route is approved. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland H170 cover?
Waste from making, formulating or using wood-preserving chemicals falls here. The entry goes by that activity, not by every item made of treated timber.

| H170 | The waste came from making, formulating or using a wood-preserving chemical. |
Where several descriptions fit, an asterisk in Queensland's tracking list decides which takes precedence. It is not an EWC hazardous-waste marker. A resource must meet its end-of-waste code or approval conditions before it leaves the waste regime.
