M270, PFAS-contaminated material.
Queensland
PFAS-contaminated material
Queensland M270: PFAS means per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances; contaminated products, containers or soil may fit.
Is Queensland M270 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. M270 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. Tracking applies while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route before treating a movement as trackable. This code has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter M270 as the waste code on the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator completes Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it through an approved online, bulk-upload or numbered-paper route. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland M270 cover?
Substances in the per- and polyfluoroalkyl group (PFAS). Products, containers and soil are examples. What counts is contamination by a PFAS substance.
