Queensland
Fixed, solidified or encapsulated waste
Queensland N160: treatment by encapsulation, chemical fixing, solidification or polymerisation does not erase the waste category.
Is Queensland N160 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. N160 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. Tracking applies while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route before treating a movement as trackable. This code is marked for precedence when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter N160 as the waste code on the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator completes Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it through an approved online, bulk-upload or numbered-paper route. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland N160 cover?
Waste that has been encapsulated, chemically fixed, solidified or polymerised. None of these treatments takes the material out of the waste description in Queensland's list.
