Asbestos waste
Queensland N220 has no marked precedence when several descriptions fit.
Is Queensland N220 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. N220 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. Tracking applies while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route before treating a movement as trackable. This code has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter N220 as the waste code on the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator completes Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it through an approved online, bulk-upload or numbered-paper route. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland N220 cover?
Asbestos waste and discarded asbestos-containing material fall here. Each state sets its own boundary, and most treat any material containing asbestos fibres, soil included, as asbestos-containing. Victoria separately gives asbestos-bearing soil the N120 description.
