Pharmaceutical-production waste
Queensland R140 has no marked precedence when several descriptions fit.
Is Queensland R140 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. R140 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. Tracking applies while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route before treating a movement as trackable. This code has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter R140 as the waste code on the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator completes Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it through an approved online, bulk-upload or numbered-paper route. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland R140 cover?
Discarded material from making or preparing pharmaceutical products. It comes from making or preparing them, not from their later use or disposal as medicines.
