Queensland
Discarded medicines and pharmaceuticals
Queensland R120 takes precedence when several trackable descriptions fit.
Is Queensland R120 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. R120 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. Tracking applies while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route before treating a movement as trackable. This code is marked for precedence when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter R120 as the waste code on the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator completes Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it through an approved online, bulk-upload or numbered-paper route. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland R120 cover?
Pharmaceuticals, drugs and medicines. This is the medicine or pharmaceutical product being thrown away, not waste made while manufacturing it.
