Biocide and crop-treatment chemical waste
Western Australia H100: biocides are chemicals that control harmful organisms; phytopharmaceuticals treat or protect plants.
Is WA H100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. H100 is a WA controlled-waste category. Regulation 3 covers industrial, commercial, medical, laboratory and sewage-treatment waste, but not domestic waste. Waste lawfully accepted at a Class I, II or III landfill is excluded, except for specified items including asbestos, tyres and clinical waste.
For a tracked load, enter H100 in the controlled-waste category field on the DWER tracking form. DWER issues the number. The authorised carrier or driver records collection and transport, and the receiving facility closes the record. Record the holder, amount, containment and destination. Road tracking in WA follows the WA load thresholds and exclusions.
What does WA H100 cover?
Waste from making, formulating or using biocides or phytopharmaceutical products falls here. The entry names that activity, so not every organic chemical waste fits.

Is biocide and crop-treatment waste WA H100?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| H100 | The waste came from making, formulating or using a biocide or phytopharmaceutical product. |
Landfill acceptance depends on the landfill criteria, not on how the waste looks. A category number and a dangerous goods class answer different questions.
