    Non-halogenated organic solvents

Western Australia G110: halogenated solvents belong under G150, rather than this non-halogenated entry.

Western Australian waste code for organic solvents with no halogens, such as acetone & toluene. Halogenated solvents go to G150.

Is WA G110 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. G110 is a WA controlled-waste category. Regulation 3 covers industrial, commercial, medical, laboratory and sewage-treatment waste, but not domestic waste. Waste lawfully accepted at a Class I, II or III landfill is excluded, except for specified items including asbestos, tyres and clinical waste.

For a tracked load, enter G110 in the controlled-waste category field on the DWER tracking form. DWER issues the number. The authorised carrier or driver records collection and transport, and the receiving facility closes the record. Record the holder, amount, containment and destination. Road tracking in WA follows the WA load thresholds and exclusions.

What does WA G110 cover?

Organic solvents that aren't halogenated fall here. That separates G110 from halogenated solvents under G150. Process residues from producing or using solvents may fit G160 instead.

Is non-halogenated solvent WA G110 or G150?

CodeWhen it fits
G110The waste is an organic solvent and isn't halogenated.
G150The organic solvent is halogenated.

Landfill acceptance depends on the landfill criteria, not on how the waste looks. A category number and a dangerous goods class answer different questions.

Which wastes take WA G110?
