    Ethers and easily ignited hydrocarbons

Western Australia G100: unlike ether-only G100 entries elsewhere, WA also includes the hydrocarbon stream.

Western Australian waste code for ethers & easily ignited hydrocarbons. Here both streams share one code.

Is WA G100 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. G100 is a WA controlled-waste category. Regulation 3 covers industrial, commercial, medical, laboratory and sewage-treatment waste. Domestic waste is outside it. Waste that a Class I, II or III landfill can lawfully accept is excluded, apart from specified exceptions such as asbestos, tyres and clinical waste.

For a tracked load, enter G100 in the controlled-waste category field on the DWER tracking form. DWER issues the number. The authorised carrier or driver records collection and transport, and the receiving facility closes the record. Record the holder, amount, containment and destination. The WA load thresholds and exclusions still apply.

What does WA G100 cover?

Ether waste and easily ignited hydrocarbons fall here. Victoria names petrol and jet fuel as examples. Western Australia uses the same combined chemical and flammability category.
