T120, Photographic chemical waste.
Australian Capital Territory
Photographic chemical waste
ACT guide entry T120; it supports interstate control and does not settle local disposal approval.
Is ACT T120 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. For ACT interstate controls, a waste needs a NEPM Schedule A List 1 category and a List 2 hazardous characteristic. The ACT administrative list prints the code. The NEPM itself doesn't print these A100-style numbers.
For a controlled border movement, put T120 with the waste description on the waste transport certificate. The producer, transporter and receiver each complete their parts. Get ACT EPA's consignment authorisation before bringing controlled waste into the ACT, and record the quantity, form, destination and applicable dangerous goods details.
Check the ACT movement exclusions too.
What does ACT T120 cover?
Discarded material from making or preparing photographic chemicals or processing materials, or from using them. Production, formulation and use all count, for photographic chemicals and for materials used to process photographs.

Is photographic chemical waste always ACT T120?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| T120 | The waste arose from producing, formulating or using photographic chemicals or processing materials. |
Use the ACT administrative entry for an ACT movement record. A national reporting category with the same number has a different purpose and doesn't set the ACT movement duty.
