Research, laboratory and teaching chemicals
New South Wales T100: new, unidentified or effects-unknown chemicals from research or teaching can fall here.
Is NSW T100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. T100 marks a waste that may need tracking. Tracking under Part 4 needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter T100 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW T100 cover?
Chemicals discarded by research, development or teaching, including new or unidentified substances and substances with unknown effects on people or the environment.
