T120, Photographic chemical waste.
New South Wales
Photographic chemical waste
NSW T120: within NSW or interstate; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.
Is NSW T120 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. T120 marks a waste that may need tracking. Tracking under Part 4 needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter T120 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW T120 cover?
Waste from making or preparing photographic chemicals or processing materials, or from using them. Production, formulation and use all count, for photographic chemicals and for photo-processing materials.
