Queensland D340 has no marked precedence when several descriptions fit.
Is Queensland D340 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. D340 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. A load is tracked while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route first, as they decide whether a movement is trackable. D340 has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter D340 in the waste-code field of the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator fills in Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it online, by bulk upload or on numbered paper, whichever route is approved. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland D340 cover?
Waste with perchlorates in it falls here. The entry names the perchlorate group, not one compound, process or physical form.

Where several descriptions fit, an asterisk in Queensland's tracking list decides which takes precedence. It is not an EWC hazardous-waste marker. A resource must meet its end-of-waste code or approval conditions before it leaves the waste regime.
